NOTICE of BUDGET HEARING MEETINGS and MILLAGE RATE

The Hancock County School District does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held on
Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 6:00PM during the HCBOE's Called Meeting pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. Section 48-5-32.

Further, pursuant to said statute, the Hancock County Board of Education hereby publishes the following presentation of the current year's tax digest and levy, along with the history of the tax digest and levy for the past five years.

The proposed millage rate is 14.216. Three meetings will be held to discuss and entertain public questions regarding the FY26 General Fund Budget and millage rate as outlined below:
