Schools have been asked to provide students with printed work packets and consumable workbooks in the event that not all households have access to reliable internet at this time. Work packets will be distributed from the bus ramp of each school from 12pm to 4:30pm on Tuesday, August 31st. Student work packets should be returned on September 9th.

All District buildings will be closed for thorough cleaning and sanitization beginning Wednesday, September 1st. Faculty and staff will report back on Tuesday, September 7th while students will return on Thursday, September 9th.

Student meals will be available for pickup from Hancock Central High School only on Tuesday, August 31st and September 7th from 11am to 1pm. Multiple meals will be available in each pickup. Community meals will not be delivered during the shutdown.

There are presently 4 confirmed cases of COVID-19 throughout the student body and over 200 close contacts among students and staff. The Hancock County School District urges its families to use this time wisely and exercise extreme caution. Continue wearing masks daily and monitor your child for symptoms.
