Hancock County Schools return to
In-Person Instruction after Winter Break


All faculty and staff in the Hancock County School District are scheduled to return from Winter Break on Tuesday, January 4th with students returning for in-person instruction on Wednesday, January 5th. Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Miranda Wilson released a statement today, indicating that the Hancock County School District will continue to enforce its mandatory masking and social distancing protocols throughout all district facilities. The Hancock County Board of Education is aware of the rising concerns related to the spread of COVID in the community and will continue to enforce the guidelines proposed by the Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control. Superintendent Wilson added that the district will continue to monitor the spread of the Omicron variant throughout the week and make decisions regarding instruction accordingly.
